Get started
Install and run Pūnaha
Install Pūnaha, prepare its databases, and start its services.
Before you start
Choose the supplied 0.1 RC1 package for the intended operating system. Verify its manifest, public certificate, and executable version. Prepare a usable TPM 2.0 or vTPM.
Prepare the database server and any required model files or external storage separately. The native installer does not install a database server.
Install and start
- Follow the Windows MSI guide or the Linux package guide.
- Read and accept the bundled licence before installing.
- Choose Primary for a new independent installation, or Node for an existing cluster.
- Set the displayed service and listener options.
- Finish installation and open the supplied browser address.
- On a Primary, select the database provider during first setup and verify the first System Owner.
- Open Registration & licence to register the installation.
Check the result
The managed service should run. A new Primary should show first setup. A Node should follow the existing Primary's joining process.
After setup, check service readiness and the registration state before relying on normal work.
Command line development
Commands such as punaha migrate and punaha serve --services=all remain useful for controlled development. Do not substitute them for the packaged installation lifecycle.
If Pūnaha does not start
Read the first installer or service error. Check TPM usability, disk space, ports, and the selected database provider. Do not repeatedly restart without saving the useful error.
Next step
Continue to Set up Pūnaha for the first time and Choose and prepare the databases.
