Build solutions

Install and activate a solution package

Import a protected solution, check its requirements, obtain approval, and activate the intended version.

Before you start

Use a trusted package, its matching recipient grant, and the required installation permissions. Confirm Product registration, the approved node set, and required services.

Solution package approval and signed rights are separate from the Product licence. An internal package route is not automatically a customer integration API.

Install the solution

  1. Open Solution packages and import the unchanged package and matching grant through the offered actions.
  2. Run preflight. For an upgrade, select the existing installed solution as the target.
  3. Review dependencies, mappings, recipient, protection mode, and any failed checks.
  4. Stage the solution and complete the required tests.
  5. Request the required approval and wait for its decision.
  6. Import or apply the matching signed activation when available.
  7. Run the readiness check, then activate the intended version.

Check the result

Open Installed solutions. Confirm the active version, rights, and status. Run one permitted sample workflow or case with safe data.

Importing, staging, approval, and activation are distinct states. None of the earlier steps alone makes the solution active.

If a gate fails

Read the failed check and correct the dependency, permission, node revision, or signed file. Do not edit a signed package or bypass approval.

Package lifecycle behaviour is present in RC1 source. Native installed database acceptance still needs evidence for the selected package and environment.

Next step

Read Recover solution configuration before relying on an upgrade.
