Get started
Install Pūnaha on Windows
Use the Windows MSI to install a Primary or an additional Node and open browser setup.
Before you start
Use the supplied x64 Windows RC1 folder and its matching verification files. The MSI checks Windows 11 or Windows Server 2022 or later, administrator approval, disk space, and usable TPM 2.0 or vTPM.
An accepted prerequisite check does not replace the host qualification recorded for that package. Prepare your database server, model files, and any external storage separately.
Install the package
- Verify the package manifest and publisher certificate through your approved delivery process.
- Open the MSI. Read and accept the bundled licence for yourself or an organisation you can represent.
- Choose Primary for a new independent installation. Choose Node to join an existing installation.
- For a Node, choose the required services. A frontend on a Node also requires Control.
- Choose the displayed frontend, API and private cluster ports. Independent listeners on the same machine need different available ports.
- Review the choices and install. Allow the managed service to start.
- Open the supplied frontend address. Complete browser setup for a Primary, or follow the existing Primary's node joining process.
Check the result
The installed executable must report 0.1.0-rc.1. The service should run and the expected setup page should open. Database selection happens in browser setup, not in the MSI.
If installation stops
Read the first installer error. Check TPM readiness, free disk space, and port use before retrying. Do not clear the TPM of an existing installation as a troubleshooting shortcut.
Next step
Read Finish first setup. For an existing installation, read Upgrade or remove Pūnaha.
