Recover solution configuration
Use retained versions and encrypted configuration backups without confusing them with business data recovery.
Choose the correct recovery
Open Solution packages, then Versions & recovery. Check which actions the installation offers and which retained versions or backups are available.
| Action | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Rollback | Restore a retained earlier solution version |
| Backup | Save an encrypted snapshot of the solution configuration |
| Restore | Restore a compatible configuration snapshot |
| Retire | Stop new execution of the installed solution |
| Reconcile | Resolve a pending recovery operation before another change |
Before you start
Confirm the installation, current version, intended target, permissions, and recovery point. Keep an independent coordinated database backup when the change needs one.
Configuration recovery does not roll back business data. It does not provide disaster recovery, repair lost private keys, or move a package to another recipient.
Apply and verify
- Select the intended installed solution.
- Review the available retained version or encrypted backup.
- Choose the required recovery action and confirm the target.
- Wait for completion. If a pending operation remains, reconcile it before retrying.
- Refresh the active version and status.
- Test an allowed execution and check that business history is retained as expected.
If recovery is blocked
Refresh after a concurrent change. Check registration, signed rights, recipient binding, current node revision, and the pending operation.
New execution can be blocked during recovery. Never delete a pending journal or change encrypted backup bytes to force completion.
Next step
Read Verify a backup and restore for installation recovery.
