Create a small workflow draft, check it, and use a safe draft test without publishing it.
What you will learn
You will create a workflow draft, connect its first path, check it, and run a safe draft test.
Local practice only. Use a test tenant with made up information. Do not use customer information or a production installation.
Before you start
Use a test tenant. You need access to create and test workflows.
Practice the draft
- Open Workflows.
- Choose Create workflow.
- Choose the blank starting point.
- Name it Practice greeting.
- Use
practice-greetingas its address. - Add a Chat input step and a Chat output step.
- Connect the input to the output.
- Save the draft.
Practice the check
- Run the built in check.
- Fix every error shown.
- Choose Test draft.
- Enter Hello from practice.
- Run the safe draft test.
- Open the step details and read the input and output.
Check your result
The draft check should pass. The run details should show the input and output path. The workflow should still be a draft.
Clean up
Do not publish this workflow. Delete the Practice greeting draft when you finish.
